Sunday 4th December – morning - The Green Dragon Judo club, based at Darrick Wood Sports Centre, Orpington has issued an invitation for us to attend this friendly challenge between the two clubs.
As well as carefully constructed Randori, there will be other club challenges to compete in, including some games. Medals for all!! And loads of fun.
A trophy will be awarded to the winning club which will be contested the following year. If you are interested then please let Sensei Bob know asap so that we can gauge numbers and start matching opponents of similar weight and ability.
All levels will be catered for, from novices upwards. Spectators very welcome.
Those who need to join, or renew, their membership to NAKMAS must get their forms from Sensei Bob immediately. New membership is £9.00 for the year and requires a passport sized photograph with the application form. All students must own their own judogi for the grading. You need to put you name forward now. Selections and practice start soon.
Due to the popularity of the team and the fact this will be our 6th year of displays it has become necessary to hold trials for places on the team.
The team needs a mix of ages and abilities to act as a show case for the club.
We are looking to develop more set pieces and raise the tempo of some of the other parts of the display as we now have competition in the form of the Tae Kwon Do Club from Darwin at two of the displays. So club honour is at stake.
To be eligible for the trials students must be proficient in their breakfalls and able to attend on the four following dates:
You must be available for final training on Sunday 5th June, and the three events on 10th and 17th June and 1st July.
