Club Invitation Competition : Sunday 12th Feb 2012Our Annual invitation Competitions have been such a success that we're having two every year now. July 8th is the other date, for your diariesA Friendly competition, originally designed for novices but we now have every age group and every level taking part. Costs are just £6.00 per entry and Spectators are always Free. Primary/Juvenile Weigh in 9:30 – 9:45am Start 10:00(ish) medals at end of each group Age 5 to Under 10 Categories = groups of 4/5 in similar weights, decided on the day Junior Weigh in 11:30 – 12:00am Start 12:30(ish) medals at 3:00(ish) Age 10 to Under 16 Categories = groups of 4/5 in similar weights, decided on the day NO Armlocks or Strangles if under 16.. Senior Weigh in 1:30 – 2:00 Start 2:30(ish) medals at 3:30(ish) 16 and over Categories = to be confirmed on the day. BAD WEATHER WATCH - The show is on- the snow has gone - Come and Play. The Gradings are held at the Squash Club, Jail lane. Opposite Darwin School.
This is seen now as the preferred venue, although it takes longer, it is less formal and far less scary.. for everyone, parents, students and Sensei's!!All students should own their own judogi for the grading. Sensei Bob can get these in advance, at below shop prices, so get your details to him as soon as possible.
All students who have been attending for more than 12 weeks are expected to grade and to have taken out full membership after 4 weeks. Those who need to join, or renew, their membership to NAKMAS must get their forms from Sensei Bob well in time.
Students will be allocated a time to attend with similarly graded/aged students. Inform Sensei early if there are problems.
The next Grading will be on 22nd April and November 18th 2012...

Budo day - Autumn - Returning again soon - Date TBC
We are planning another Budo day after last years successful return. A day of mixed martial arts study. 7 different arts by various instructors.Kempo Karate, Kung Fu, Archery, Judo/Jui-Jitsu, Pure self defence, and much much more. More news and confirmed arts in the near future..

Training on Last Surday of each month. 3:30 until 5:00.
Team members exist from all abilities and ages.
Our thanks to the 2011 team members. Each received a Commemorative medallion and a Special DVD, cut to music, at the presentation night in November. Extra copies will also be available on request.
The Sensei's would also like to express their thanks to all the parents who help with the child transport, moving of the mats especially on the rainy days. It is appreciated and does make things easier.
